A Corsican winemaker with ancestral methods

We favour the chipbud technique of grafting and overgrafting for the advantages it presents. This ancestral method involves grafting a bud onto the periphery of the vine, near its base. This makes it possible to regenerate the plant (outer part of the vine), and even sometimes to change the grape variety.

Art at the service of Corsican vines

In collaboration with Bertrand Cervera, First Violinist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of France, a musical experiment has been undertaken in recent years on the Monte Bianco plot. Through its vibration, each musical note stimulates the vine.  Art therefore makes it possible to contribute to the fight against vineyard diseases, to improve their growth and to strengthen them …  As Jean-Charles Abbatucci testifies: “With the dance of the plant, I hope to give a vibratory aspect to my wines. »

Salt water sprinkled on Corsican vines

On the Domaine Comte Abbatucci, we have replaced copper and sulphur on some experimental plots. Following historical and scientific observations, we have been able to realise the benefits of seawater.
